Job Description IT Operations engineer Group Company: Visteon Designation: Sr Analyst I IT Operations Office Location: Chennai - Perungalathur Position description: Join Visteon's IT Operations team as a Senior Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the IT infrastructure that supports our automotive technology solutions. This position demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in IT operations, capable of ensuring system reliability, performance, and security in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. You will collaborate cross-functionally to implement best practices, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with Visteon's commitment to excellence in automotive electronics and software development. Primary Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and security of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services to support automotive product development and business operations. • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on business continuity. • Develop and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and configuration management records. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, cybersecurity, and quality assurance to implement IT solutions that meet automotive industry standards and compliance requirements. • Drive automation initiatives to streamline IT operations processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention. • Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to support scalable and resilient IT environments aligned with Visteon's growth objectives. • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure service level agreements are met and technology upgrades are effectively implemented. • Participate in IT governance and risk management activities, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements specific to the automotive sector. • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts and IT operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. Skills: • IT Infrastructure Management • Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis • Network and Server Administration • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) • Automation Tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) • Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning • ITIL Framework • Disaster Recovery Planning • Vendor Management • Cybersecurity Fundamentals • Scripting Languages (Python, PowerShell) • Monitoring Tools (Nagios, Splunk, or SolarWinds) Reporting Team • Reporting Designation: IT Manager - Chennai • Reporting Department: IT Operations Educational qualifications preferred • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant cloud certifications are highly desirable. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations within the automotive or manufacturing industry, demonstrating progressive responsibility and technical expertise. Required Certification/s: • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Desirable. • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Desirable.
