Manager - Materials & Logistics (SCM)

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Lead and manage end-to-end Supply Chain Operations including Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, and Inventory Management. • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans. • Drive demand planning, forecasting, material planning, and production scheduling to ensure smooth plant operations. • Manage strategic sourcing, supplier development, vendor negotiations, and contract management. • Ensure optimum inventory levels while minimizing working capital and supply chain costs. • Lead logistics, transportation, warehouse, and distribution functions to achieve on-time delivery targets. • Drive cost reduction, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives. • Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs including inventory turns, supplier performance, delivery adherence, and forecast accuracy. • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams for effective execution of SOP processes. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, statutory requirements, and supply chain risk management practices • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing SCM teams across multiple manufacturing locations. Preferred candidate profile B.E./B.Tech or MBA/PGDM (Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics). Candidates with both technical and management qualifications will be preferred.
