· To check for daily bed occupancy and plan the day’s operation in both OP and IP Pharmacies. · To maintain medicine, surgical and consumables stock adequately across all formats · To raise stock requirement and receive them on a daily / weekly or monthly basis from Purchase or Stores team. - Responsible for maintaining the inventory of pharmacy. - To arrange the stock as per dosage form in alphabetical order, internal & external separately as per labelling. · To check the invoice against the Intended slips for quantity, batch no, expiry etc and stock them in a prescribed manner. · Dispensing the drugs as per prescription / indents both in IP & OP Location. · To carry out physical verification of stocks and with system data every day. · To perform stock checking for short-expiry medicines once a month. · To perform stock checking for non-moving medicines once in 6 months. · To identify and remove the recalled drugs as and when received an internal communication within a stipulated time. · To build rapport with customer for having a congenial relationship towards effective patient care and customer satisfaction. · To check for Patient ID, Name and the treating Doctor name in the prescription before dispensing any items goes out of the Pharmacy. · If any particular brand is not available inform the treating doctor about the substitute with reference to drug formulary, arrange for the same through purchase team / stores / distributors. · To follow the cut strip medication protocols as per SOP guidelines. · In case of narcotic drugs be ensured that the prescription is duly signed by the doctor with registration number rubber stamped with current date on a daily basis in the register. · Clarify the quantity required and the dosage with the patients. · To dispense the appropriate medicines from the respective labeled racks in accordance with the doctor's prescription and bill the same quantity. · Prepare the bill for the quantity required and inform the patient / customer about the bill amount. Generate the bill in duplicate for filing towards audit checking purpose. · Responsible to check and verify the prescription in detail (ie: patient name | UHID No.) , bill and picked medicines physically for dosage form, brand name, dose, batch no, expiry, MRP, quantity with the bill and prescription by pharmacist before delivering. · While packing the medicines the dosage frequency of use and duration should be written in cover for every medicines prescribed. If patient prefers counseling that needs to be done in clarity. · To receive the indent / PMR (manual) from the Wards / OT / EMR / ICU before issuance. · If there is any doubt in Indent, that must be clarified with the Nurse / Doctor before picking the medicines from respective racks. · It is mandatory to perform cross checking the medicines with the indent in detail (ie: patient name | UHID No.), picked medicines physically for dosage form, brand name, dose, batch no, expiry, MRP and quantity. Pack the medicine individually and issue to dispatch section. · Online / Manual return medicine slips are checked with the physical stock received and accounted in the patient bill then and there. · Storage, handling and dispensing of narcotic drugs are must to be carried out as per policy. · Responsible to follow and maintain the temperature, its documentations and cold chain maintenance. - Shall follow the SOP and Service guidelines as per the said protocols prevailing in practice. · To participate in all departmental training and quality initiative measures that is in practice across locations. · To maintain ethical practices and diplomacy at all levels that we are dealing in our day to day transactions. · To follow all the rules and regulations of the organization prevails in practice from time to time.
