**Role Details:** The Portfolio Head – Liabilities will lead the strategy, growth, and profitability of the bank’s liabilities portfolio (Savings Accounts, Current Accounts, Deposits). The role will drive AI-led transformation, digital innovation, and data-driven decision-making to maximize customer value, portfolio growth, and operational efficiency. **Overall Job Description** **1. Portfolio Strategy & Growth** - Define and execute liabilities growth strategy (CASA + Deposits) - Drive portfolio expansion, market share, and profitability targets - Use AI-powered forecasting models for business planning and growth - Drive **existing book growth strategy** through structured portfolio interventions and lifecycle management **2. AI & Data-Driven Transformation** - Lead adoption of AI/ML across customer acquisition, engagement, and retention - Implement advanced **analytics frameworks for portfolio management** , including segmentation, opportunity sizing, and performance tracking - Sponsor development of customer 360 views, personalization engines, and predictive models - Drive hyper-personalization and data-led decision-making across the customer lifecycle **3. Customer & Digital Innovation** - Oversee end-to-end digital journeys across onboarding and servicing - Drive adoption of AI-enabled onboarding (eKYC, fraud detection) - Implement conversational AI, voice bots, and digital servicing tools - Enhance customer experience through **event-triggered engagement and lifecycle-based customer journeys** **4. Revenue & P&L Ownership** - Own full P&L for liabilities portfolio - Optimize cost of funds, fee income, and overall portfolio profitability - Drive **cross-sell penetration, customer retention, and usage/activation metrics** across segments - Use predictive analytics for revenue forecasting and performance optimization **5. Portfolio Growth, Campaigns & Customer Engagement** - Define **customer mapping strategies** to identify high-value segments, dormant customers, and cross-sell opportunities - Establish **resource allocation models and engagement frameworks** to improve RM/branch productivity and coverage quality - Build and scale **Direct-to-Customer (D2C) and RM-led campaign frameworks** across channels - Drive execution of **key portfolio performance metrics** - Design **event-trigger infrastructure** to trigger contextual engagement based on behavior and lifecycle signals - Implement **CRM-driven contact strategies** for branch banking to ensure structured, consistent, and measurable customer engagement **6. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development** - Build partnerships with fintechs, digital platforms, and ecosystem players - Drive embedded banking and API-led integrations - Explore AI-led partnerships (fraud, analytics, personalization engines) **7. Risk, Compliance & Governance** - Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, AML/KYC norms - Deploy AI-based fraud detection and risk monitoring systems - Strengthen governance using real-time alerts and predictive risk models **8. Leadership & Stakeholder Management** - Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Analytics, Digital, Risk, and Sales - Drive a data-driven culture and AI adoption mindset - Mentor teams and build analytics and digital capabilities internally **Education and Work Experience Requirements** **Education:** Preferred: MBA / PGDM (Tier 1 / Tier 2 preferred) **Work Experience:** - 10–15 years in banking / liabilities / retail banking leadership roles - Strong experience in CASA, portfolio strategy, and digital transformation **Desired Behavioral / Functional Traits** - Deep understanding of liabilities products and retail banking ecosystem - Proven track record in P&L ownership and portfolio growth - Strong exposure to AI, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives - Strategic thinking with strong execution capability - Excellent stakeholder and leadership skills
