Role & responsibilities 1. Production • Achieve shift-wise and daily production targets as per the production plan. • Monitor and control press operations ranging from 40 Ton to 1200 Ton presses. • Minimise downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). • Ensure optimum manpower allocation and utilisation across the shift. • Implement and sustain 5S, TPM, and Kaizen activities on the shop floor. 2. Quality • Ensure zero-defect production and prevent defective parts from moving to the next process or customer. • Monitor daily scrap and rework; implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce losses. • Maintain quality records, reports, logbooks, check sheets, and inspection documentation. • Verify die settings, material quality, and machine parameters before and during production. • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction. 3. Safety & Maintenance • Ensure all safety devices are functional, including: • Photo Guards • Side Door Sensors • Eco Guard Sensors • Emergency Stop Buttons • Monitor and eliminate oil and air leakages from machines and utilities. • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance (PM) activities. • Ensure compliance with EHS and machine safety requirements. 4. Team Management & Documentation • Lead and supervise shift in-charges, operators, and supporting manpower. • Conduct employee training programs and ensure adherence to discipline and company policies. • Monitor attendance, shift deployment, and workforce productivity. • Maintain production reports, downtime records, quality logs, shift handover reports, and other operational documentation. • Support employee engagement and continuous skill development initiatives.
