Production Officer

Job description

Key Responsibilities • Plan and execute daily packing activities as per the production plan. • Manage packing of different SKUs, including assortment packs and single packs. • Ensure the right SKU, pack size, quantity and materials are used as per the approved BOM. • Check batch coding, manufacturing/expiry dates, labels and packaging material before starting production. • Monitor the packing line to achieve daily production targets and maintain good line efficiency. • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Warehouse and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production. • Ensure all required packaging materials are available before starting the line and control material wastage. • Maintain daily production records, BMRs, shift reports and other required documents. • Ensure the team follows SOPs, GMP, 5S, safety and hygiene standards. • Manage manpower on the packing line and ensure proper deployment for smooth operations. • Support line changeovers and ensure the first batch is packed correctly before starting regular production. • Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance team to reduce downtime. • Identify and resolve day-to-day packing issues and escalate major problems to the Production Manager. • Maintain cleanliness and discipline on the packing floor and ensure safe working practices. • Manage and supervise approximately 35–45 people in a single shift. • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, productivity and minimum wastage.
