Production Supervisor

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and safety. • Monitor production line performance and ensure adherence to production schedules. • Lead and guide shop-floor manpower, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, SOPs, and customer requirements. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage. • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Planning teams for smooth production flow. • Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and defects. • Ensure implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and other operational excellence practices. • Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with EHS policies and statutory regulations. • Conduct shift meetings, allocate work responsibilities, and monitor employee performance. • Prepare daily production reports and communicate production status to management. • Support new model launches and process improvement activities. Preferred candidate profile • Candidates from Automotive OEMs, Bus Manufacturing, Commercial Vehicle, Passenger Vehicle, or Auto Component industries. • Experience in shift management and handling large shop-floor teams. • Proficient in MS Excel, production reporting, and manufacturing KPIs. • Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
