Job description

Role & responsibilities • Execute material planning in line with production schedules and MRP outputs. • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and components & Services. • Monitor daily material requirements and address shortages proactively. • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock. • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials. • Conduct regular cycle counts and support inventory audits. • Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory. • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely material delivery. • Track purchase orders and follow up on pending deliveries. • Support vendor evaluation by providing input on delivery performance and quality issues. • Ensure continuous material supply to production lines without interruption. • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams. • Support new product/material trials and smooth material introduction. • Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in ERP systems. • Support traceability and documentation requirements for audits. Identify opportunities for reducing material cost, wastage, and handling losses. • Supervise storekeepers, material handlers, and warehouse staff.
