Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - Execute material planning in line with production schedules and MRP outputs. - Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and components & Services. - Monitor daily material requirements and address shortages proactively. - Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock. - Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials. - Conduct regular cycle counts and support inventory audits. - Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory. - Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely material delivery. - Track purchase orders and follow up on pending deliveries. - Support vendor evaluation by providing input on delivery performance and quality issues. - Ensure continuous material supply to production lines without interruption. - Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams. - Support new product/material trials and smooth material introduction. - Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in ERP systems. - Support traceability and documentation requirements for audits. Identify opportunities for reducing material cost, wastage, and handling losses. - Supervise storekeepers, material handlers, and warehouse staff.
