Senior Engineer -BOM (MBOM/EBOM) & SAP

Job description

We are looking for an Engineer / Senior Engineer with hands-on experience in BOM management, SAP, and Engineering Change Management. The candidate should have a strong understanding of MBOM and EBOM structures, engineering drawings, and SAP BOM processes to support manufacturing operations and ensure accurate production data. Key Responsibilities • Perform MBOM mapping from EBOM while ensuring alignment with manufacturing and production requirements. • Validate Bills of Material (BOM) by comparing SAP data with physical verification. • Create, update, and maintain BOMs in SAP. • Execute BOM amendments based on Engineering Change Notes (ECN) and engineering revisions. • Track and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECR) within defined timelines. • Conduct trial runs for ECN implementation and ensure successful execution. • Interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate BOM creation and updates. • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams for smooth implementation of changes. • Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports related to BOM and engineering activities. • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate engineering records and ensuring compliance with quality standards. • Identify opportunities for process improvements in BOM management and change control. Required Skills • Strong working knowledge of SAP (BOM & Engineering Modules). • Good understanding of EBOM and MBOM structures. • Experience in BOM creation, validation, and maintenance. • Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) processes. • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting. • Strong coordination and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. • Experience in Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, or Engineering industries will be preferred.
