Senior Engineer -BOM (MBOM/EBOM) & SAP

Job description

We are looking for an Engineer / Senior Engineer with hands-on experience in BOM management, SAP, and Engineering Change Management. The candidate should have a strong understanding of MBOM and EBOM structures, engineering drawings, and SAP BOM processes to support manufacturing operations and ensure accurate production data. Key Responsibilities - Perform MBOM mapping from EBOM while ensuring alignment with manufacturing and production requirements. - Validate Bills of Material (BOM) by comparing SAP data with physical verification. - Create, update, and maintain BOMs in SAP. - Execute BOM amendments based on Engineering Change Notes (ECN) and engineering revisions. - Track and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECR) within defined timelines. - Conduct trial runs for ECN implementation and ensure successful execution. - Interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate BOM creation and updates. - Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams for smooth implementation of changes. - Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports related to BOM and engineering activities. - Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate engineering records and ensuring compliance with quality standards. - Identify opportunities for process improvements in BOM management and change control. Required Skills - Strong working knowledge of SAP (BOM & Engineering Modules). - Good understanding of EBOM and MBOM structures. - Experience in BOM creation, validation, and maintenance. - Knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) processes. - Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting. - Strong coordination and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. - Experience in Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, or Engineering industries will be preferred.
