The Business Services Business Analyst (BA) will support daily operations of North American (NA) Payroll, and contribute to projects and initiatives that align with the company’s broader business goals.  The BA will collaborate closely with their manager and coordinate activities with other business areas as needed.  This role is crucial to the organization as it supports business and system processes for employee onboarding through payroll processing, which is the foundation of our billing cycle, driving over 95% of the company’s revenue. This role supports US and Canada payroll for 100K weekly paid employees, with multiple payroll runs each week, as well as bi-weekly payroll for 5K Randstad internal associates. It covers various lines of business across different industries, including engineering, light industrial, professional and healthcare, as well as government contracts and FLSA classifications. All functions, from time capture to pay distribution, are handled in-house by department personnel. Solutions Sr Business Analyst The Senior Solutions Analyst is responsible for end-to-end delivery of complex customer time capture implementations and process optimization projects, leveraging a diverse toolkit that includes automation, integration, and development technologies like Automation Anywhere, AppScript, Python, SQL, and AI tools. This role manages all phases of the project lifecycle—from assessment and requirements gathering to development, testing, and delivery—while strictly adhering to governance, policies, and procedures. Beyond technical execution, the Analyst plays a key leadership role in production support, audits, and system testing, while actively mentoring new hires, recommending process improvements, and engaging with stakeholders and upper management to drive business services success.pport), while ensuring adherence to governance guidelines, policies, and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Description % of Time Spent Daily Operations: Support a portfolio of complex or strategic accounts by adhering to established processes and procedures. Make decisions within established guidelines and identify when to take action outside of those guidelines for exceptions. ●      Provide system support including setup, configuration, and maintenance ●      Resolve and assist junior analysts with issues and inquiries related to varying subjects, including, but not limited to; onboarding, time entry, payroll, and from internal customers and agencies. ●      Conduct daily audits to ensure process and compliance requirements are fully met. ●      Serve as subject matter expert (SME), partnering with functional and technical teams on system upgrades and fixes, and conduct or assist with User Acceptance Testing to ensure the business requirements are met ●      Develop and/or update functional process documentation as needed 30% Research, Reconciliation, Problem Identification, and Resolution - Guides team members and works with other departments to address complex operational issues and discrepancies. This involves conducting research and gaining a thorough understanding of the operating companies and customer accounts the manager and BAs supports. Ensure systems and processes comply with customer contracts and are managed appropriately. ●      Promptly investigate, identify and report potential database issues ●      Develop, oversee and deliver reports for operational analysis, trend monitoring , audits and special projects ●      Ensure database accuracy by performing validation queries 25% Producing Insights and Driving Decisions Through Analysis - Create advanced analytical frameworks and models to gain deep insights into customer account performance and business service operations, leveraging key metrics to inform strategic decision-making 15% Customer Support - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and internal departments.
