Job description

Role & responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate production activities during the assigned shift. • Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan. • Monitor manpower deployment and optimize machine utilization. • Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures. • Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor. • Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdown resolution. • Prepare and maintain production reports, shift records, and MIS data. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement. • Train and guide operators and technicians on production processes and safety practices. • Ensure adherence to ISO, IATF, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence initiatives. Preferred candidate profile • Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering discipline. • 3-8 years of experience in production/manufacturing operations, preferably in the automotive or auto-component industry. • Proven experience in handling shop-floor operations and managing manpower during shifts. • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, safety standards, and manufacturing KPIs. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, SPC, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance, quality, and planning teams. • Good leadership, communication, and team management skills. • Proficient in MS Excel, production reporting, and shift documentation. • Willingness to work in rotational shifts. • Experience in achieving production targets while ensuring quality, safety, and cost control.
