We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Store Manager to manage the overall operations of a supermarket. The Store Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing manpower, ensuring inventory availability, maintaining operational standards, and delivering an excellent customer experience. Roles & Responsibilities • Manage the day-to-day operations of the supermarket and ensure smooth store functioning. • Drive sales, revenue, profitability and customer service as per business targets. • Monitor department-wise sales and identify opportunities to improve performance. • Ensure optimum stock availability across Grocery, FMCG, Fruits & Vegetables and other categories. • Control inventory, stock loss, damages, expiry and shrinkage. • Ensure proper GRN, stock receiving, replenishment and inventory accuracy. • Manage and motivate store employees to achieve individual and store targets. • Prepare manpower schedules and ensure adequate staffing across departments. • Monitor employee attendance, grooming, discipline and productivity. • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints promptly. • Maintain visual merchandising, product displays, cleanliness and store hygiene. • Ensure adherence to company SOPs, statutory requirements and operational guidelines. • Monitor cash handling, billing operations and ensure compliance with cash-control procedures. • Conduct regular stock audits and take corrective action on inventory discrepancies. • Coordinate with warehouse, supply chain, vendors and support functions for smooth operations. • Analyse daily/weekly/monthly business reports and take action to improve store performance. • Conduct regular team meetings and communicate business priorities and targets. • Drive customer engagement, loyalty and promotional activities. • Ensure the store is always sales-ready, customer-ready and audit-ready. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Sales & Revenue Achievement • Gross Margin / Profitability • Customer Satisfaction • Inventory Accuracy • Shrinkage / Stock Loss Control • Availability & Fill Rate • Manpower Productivity • Employee Attrition • Operational Audit Compliance • Store Hygiene & Visual Merchandising Desired Candidate Profile • Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage. • 48 years of experience in supermarket, retail or FMCG store operations. • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Store Manager / Store In-charge role preferred. • Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, inventory management and sales. • Good leadership, team management and people-handling skills. • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Comfortable working with sales reports, MIS and basic computer applications. • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and achieve business targets.
