**JOB DESCRIPTION** **Position Title:** Assistant Manager (AM) Performance Management System (PMS) **Department:** Human Resources (HR) **Location:** Mumbai **Employment Type:** Full-Time **1. Purpose of the Role** To lead, execute, and govern the end-to-end Performance Management cycle for the organization. The Assistant Manager PMS will partner with department heads and leadership based in Mumbai (and associated regional offices) to ensure goal-setting, continuous feedback, and annual appraisals are conducted transparently, equitably, and on schedule. This role requires strong analytical capabilities to drive data-driven HR decisions and manage organizational talent metrics. **2. Key Responsibilities & Result Areas (KRAs)** **Performance Cycle Leadership:** - Orchestrate the annual and mid-year performance review cycles, ensuring strict adherence to timelines across all departments. - Partner with senior managers and business heads to define and cascade clear, measurable Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Lead normalization and calibration discussions with department heads to finalize ratings and ensure a fair bell curve distribution. **Data Tracking, Dashboards & Analytics:** - Develop and manage complex, formula-based Excel trackers to seamlessly record, monitor, and update performance scores across the organization. - Design and deploy ready-made dynamic dashboards to provide leadership with real-time visibility into goal-setting compliance, appraisal completion rates, and talent metrics. - Analyze large data sets to calculate variable pay, determine increment proposals, and identify high-potential talent versus areas requiring Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). **Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building:** - Act as the primary subject matter expert and escalation point for all PMS-related grievances and system queries. - Design and deliver comprehensive training modules for employees and reporting managers on objective goal-setting (SMART goals) and effective feedback delivery. - Collaborate with the Learning & Development (L&D) team to link performance outcomes with training interventions. **Process Optimization:** - Audit existing PMS workflows and implement automated solutions to reduce manual data entry and enhance system transparency. - Lead the integration and optimization of digital HRMS/PMS platforms to ensure a smooth user experience for all employees. **3. Candidate Profile & Requirements** **Educational Qualifications:** - MBA or PGDM in Human Resources from a recognized university/institute. **Work Experience:** - 7 to 15 years of dedicated experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 3-4 years independently managing the Performance Management System and appraisals. **Technical & Behavioral Skills:** - **Mandatory:** Expert-level proficiency in advanced MS Excel (must be highly capable of creating automated dashboards, handling complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and macro-based dynamic files). - Strong understanding of modern performance evaluation frameworks (e.g., OKRs, 360-Degree Feedback, Balanced Scorecard). - Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills, with the maturity to interact with senior leadership. - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw performance data into actionable HR insights.
