Job Title: Associate Director Global Procurement (API & Third-Party Sourcing) Location: Hyderabad, India (Work-from-Anywhere in India accepted with willingness to relocate to Hyderabad) Experience: 14+ Years Industry: Pharmaceutical / BioPharma (Mandatory) Role Overview We are looking for a senior, strategic Procurement Leader to direct our Global Category Management function. In this high-impact leadership role, you will drive global sourcing strategies, lead direct pharma procurement (specifically API and Third-Party Sourcing), and influence executive-level global stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Category Leadership: Develop and execute multi-year global category strategies across Direct (APIs, third-party manufacturing, raw materials) and Indirect categories. • Strategic Sourcing & Contracting: Lead high-value contract negotiations, market intelligence evaluations, risk assessments, and supplier performance frameworks. • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner directly with global business leaders, Legal, R&D, and Quality teams to align spending priorities with corporate goals. • Team & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and manage a team of procurement professionals with a focus on stability and career development. Must-Have Requirements • Direct Pharma Sourcing: Proven, hands-on category management experience in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Third-Party/CMO Sourcing. (Non-negotiable) • Strategic Senior Leadership: Demonstrated track record of leading strategic, high-value procurement initiatives rather than tactical purchasing or order execution. • Global Exposure: Experience managing multi-million-dollar global spend, international supplier bases, and cross-cultural stakeholders. • People Leadership: Proven history of managing direct reports with a stable career trajectory (no frequent job-hopping). • Location: Open to candidates based anywhere in India who are willing to relocate to Hyderabad.
