Design and Product Development Engineer

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Design and development of LV/HV traction inverters and motor controllers. • Work on power stage, gate-driver circuits, DC-Link capacitors, MOSFETs/IGBTs and current sensing. • Develop and validate PMSM/BLDC motor-control systems using FOC. • Perform circuit simulation, hardware bring-up, debugging and product validation. • Conduct DVP, functional, performance, thermal and reliability testing of inverter systems. • Work on EMI/EMC, switching waveforms, efficiency and thermal validation. • Develop/control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Embedded C. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for product development, testing, manufacturing and vehicle integration. • Support root-cause analysis and resolution of field/design issues. • Must have worked on 2 WH/3 WH/4 WH in EV or electronic Vehicles of LCV/HCV/PV Preferred candidate profile • Strong fundamentals in Power Electronics & Inverter Design. • Hands-on experience with Traction Inverter / Motor Controller. • Knowledge of PMSM / BLDC, FOC, SVPWM and motor-control loops. • Experience with MOSFET/IGBT, Gate Drivers, DC-Link and Current Sensing. • Exposure to CAN, Embedded C and MATLAB/Simulink. • Experience in hardware testing, validation and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of EMI/EMC and thermal management will be preferred.
