Division / Department: Information Management Location: Coimbatore , Tamil Nadu Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are looking for a Document Controller to join our Information Management team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for processing, managing, and distributing all project-related documentationboth generated in-house and received from external suppliers, customers, and third parties. You will ensure all records meet global and local procedures, project specifications, and strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Document Processing & Distribution (80%) • Register all incoming documents from suppliers, customers, and third-party entities into the SAP PLM system. • Release and register in-house generated technical documents into the SAP PLM system. • Submit project documentation to clients and external stakeholders according to specific customer and project guidelines. • Manage, register, and distribute client comments and acceptance codes internally for technical review or required actions. • Route technical documents to internal teams for review, feedback, or information. • Manage electronic document workflows using EDMS in line with company work instructions. • Perform verification checks on metadata and documents to ensure compliance with administrative and project-specific requirements. • Identify, correct, and resolve document discrepancies before final release. Quality Control & Stakeholder Communication (20%) • Take prompt corrective actions on documentation issues identified by quality teams or external stakeholders. • Respond efficiently to queries raised by internal project teams, suppliers, and client representatives. • Proactively notify stakeholders about metadata errors, quality issues, or content discrepancies. Qualifications & Key Requirements • Education: Graduate degree in Science or Commerce. (Additional Diploma in Supply Chain Management or ERP is preferred). • Experience: 3 to 5 years of total experience in document control, supply chain management, or data management across relevant industries. • Technical Skills: • Hands-on experience with SAP PLM and EDMS tools. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and database navigation. • Core Competencies: • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work under pressure. • Strong understanding of standard operating procedures related to document governance. • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate within a globally distributed team.
