A Purchasing Manager **oversees supply chain, sourcing high-quality TMT Steel at the best possible prices**. They negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and manage budgets to ensure uninterrupted inventory and operational efficiency. This role directly impacts profitability and business growth. **Role & responsibilities** : - **Strategic Sourcing:** Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors to build a resilient supply chain. - **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to maximize cost efficiency and secure favorable conditions. - **Inventory Management:** Monitor stock levels and collaborate with warehouse or production teams to predict future material needs. - **Order Processing:** Oversee the preparation, approval, and tracking of purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery. - **Performance Tracking:** Establish supplier scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor quality, cost, and delivery compliance. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with the finance, legal, and operations departments to process payments, manage budgets, and resolve any supply chain disputes. **Preferred candidate profile** - **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. - **Experience:** Proven track record (typically 1015+ years) in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. - **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in SAP software, e-procurement platforms, and data analysis. - **Soft Skills:** Exceptional negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities, paired with high ethical standards.
