Job Title: Senior Purchase Executive Experience: 46 Years Department: Procurement Location: Mira Road Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Head Role Overview The Senior Purchase Executive is responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services at competitive prices. The role involves handling end-to-end purchase processes, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring inventory requirements, and supporting cost optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Vendor Management • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendor partnerships • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers • Monitor vendor performance related to quality, delivery timelines, and service standards • Resolve vendor-related issues, discrepancies, and escalations effectively Procurement & Sourcing • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per operational requirements • Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions • Coordinate with internal departments for purchase planning and requirement forecasting • Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives Purchase Order Management • Prepare, review, and process purchase orders accurately and within timelines • Track order status and ensure timely delivery of materials/services • Coordinate with stores, accounts, and operations teams for smooth processing and closure of orders Inventory & Material Planning • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory • Coordinate with stores and planning teams for replenishment requirements • Ensure availability of critical materials for uninterrupted operations Documentation &Reporting • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, invoices, and vendor documentation • Generate MIS reports related to procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance • Ensure documentation readiness for audits and compliance checks Compliance & Process Adherence • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements • Follow internal approval processes and maintain transparency in procurement practices Required Skills & Competencies • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills • Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes • Analytical mindset with focus on cost optimization • Strong coordination and communication abilities • Ability to handle multiple vendors and procurement activities simultaneously • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Technical Skills • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office tools Preferred Experience • 46 years of experience in procurement/purchase functions • Experience in handling vendor negotiations and procurement coordination independently • Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, trading, or related industries preferred Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Timely procurement and delivery performance • Cost savings and pricing efficiency • Vendor performance and issue resolution • Accuracy of purchase documentation and reporting • Inventory management effectiveness and reduction in stock shortages
