**Position Title:** Senior Manager Purchase & Vendor Development (VD) - **Department:** Procurement / Supply Chain Management - **Number of Positions:** 1 - **Location:** Near Thane-Bhiwandi (Company bus facility available from Thane, Kalyan, Dombivali, Badlapur, and Virar) Job Purpose To strategically plan and execute the purchase and vendor development strategy for core manufacturing commodities, ensuring operational excellence, strict compliance, and maximum cost efficiency across the division. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Procurement - **Commodity Management:** Formulate and execute purchase and VD strategies for Raw Materials (RM), Outsourcing (OS), Bought-Out (BO) components, consumables, and packaging. - **Compliance & Governance:** Ensure complete compliance with Purchasing Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while implementing industry best practices. - **Commercial Agreements:** Draft, negotiate, and finalize legal supplier agreements and purchase contracts. - **Financial Management:** Drive divisional cost-saving initiatives and spearhead the Capex procurement review processes. - **Audits & Quality:** Manage divisional purchase activities, lead Plant Purchase Audits, and proactively resolve vendor-related quality complaints. Periodic Task Breakdown Daily Tasks - Review daily operations with the team focusing on Raw Materials (RM), Outsourcing, and Bought-out parts. - Attend daily operational review meetings and coordinate closely with vendors to meet production, maintenance, and quality demands. Weekly Tasks - Monitor and resolve pending RM cases and outsourced job work. - Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) to tackle critical tasks and bottlenecks. Monthly Tasks - Compile Management Information Systems (MIS) reports and deliver project presentations. - Conduct monthly Cost-Saving Reviews, Project Reviews, and Capex Reviews. - Oversee IATF 16949-related documentation and compliance compliance tasks. Candidate Profile & Qualifications Educational Background - **Degree:** Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / B.Tech in **Mechanical**, **Metallurgy**, or **Production Engineering**. Experience & Demographics - **Overall Experience:** Minimum **18 years** of hardcore manufacturing procurement experience. - **Preferred Industry/Segment:** Forging, Machining, Blanking, Stamping, Press Shop, Heat Treatment, or Fastener manufacturing environments. Technical Competencies - Extensive exposure handling vendors for **Machining, Blanking, Forging, and Raw Materials** (specifically Rod, Coil, Sheet, and Strip vendors). - Sound, hands-on knowledge of **SAP** (specifically SAP MM/procurement modules). - High level of analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail. Leadership & Soft Skills - **Managerial:** Strong team management capabilities, vendor quality/engineering development skills, and sound knowledge of statutory compliances. - **Behavioral:** Highly action-oriented with excellent commercial negotiation skills.
