Job description

Location: Strategic Regional Headquarters (Hyderabad) Reporting To: Head – Learning & Development & Organizational Counselling - EM Job Purpose Serve as a strategic catalyst for the Emerging Markets (EM) region by identifying, designing, and executing centralized and localized learning initiatives. This role ensures regional talent development is aligned with organizational priorities to build a high-performing, future-ready workforce across all business functions. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Alignment & Diagnostics • Business Need Analysis (BNA): Conduct comprehensive analyses to align L&D interventions with central corporate strategies. • Learning Need Analysis (LNA): Perform multi-functional diagnostics across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and HR to identify performance gaps. 2. Strategy & Content Development • Holistic Learning Journeys: Design blended learning paths incorporating classroom sessions, digital modules, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and executive mentorship. • Competency Mapping: Implement mapping and regular assessments to proactively bridge skill gaps. • Localization: Adapt and translate central training modules to ensure regional relevance and maximum knowledge internalization. • Instructional Design: Apply modern principles to create engaging medical and behavioral training content. 3. Execution & Delivery • High-Impact Facilitation: Deliver training sessions to diverse functional teams, ensuring high engagement and retention. • Learning Dynamics: Drive the 70:20:10 model by integrating Kolb’s Learning Cycle (Experience, Observation, Conceptualization, and Experimentation). 4. Business Integration & Analytics • Commercial Partnership: Collaborate with Regional Product Managers on Psychographic Customer Segmentation and commercial initiatives (DGM, CME, and Medical Camps). • Psychometric Analysis: Apply behavioral assessment tools throughout the employee lifecycle—from recruitment to succession planning. 5. Performance, Growth & Reporting • Talent Frameworks: Link L&D outcomes directly to Performance Management and Succession Planning. • Impact Measurement: Measure ROI using the Kirkpatrick Model (Levels 1–4) to track everything from learner reaction to tangible financial results. Operational Oversight: Manage the L&D budget and maintain meticulous records of training data and intervention efficacy. Candidate Profile Education • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or Medicine (MBBS/BDS/B. Sc-Bio-Science). Must possess deep knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology. • Preferred: Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Pharm) with MBA (Marketing/HR/International Business). Experience • Required: 3–5 years in Pharmaceutical Sales L&D, specifically delivering Medical and Behavioural training. • Leadership: Mandatory experience as a People Manager (minimum First Line Manager) with a proven track record of improving team performance through coaching. • Preferred: Experience managing L&D for International Markets and training diverse corporate functions. Core Competencies • Expertise: Deep understanding of Adult Learning Principles, Behavioural Science, and Blended Learning methodologies. • Analytical: Strong aptitude for data interpretation by analysis competency mapping process & results • Influence: Ability to navigate a matrix reporting structure and influence senior HO & regional stakeholders. Working Conditions • Office/Classroom (80%): Strategy, content design, facilitation, and administration. • Field-Based (20%): Market visits, OJT coaching, and regional travel to HO/Branches.
