Job description

Role & responsibilities • Plan and manage manpower requirements for plant operations in coordination with production, maintenance, quality, and other functional teams. • Drive off-role hiring, including contract labour, temporary manpower, trainees, apprentices, and other non-permanent workforce. • Maintain manpower MIS and monitor sanctioned vs. actual headcount. • Ensure compliance with applicable central and state labour laws, rules, and government regulations. • Manage statutory compliance related to contract labour, wages, working hours, leave, social security, employment records, and other applicable requirements. • Coordinate with government authorities, labour departments, inspectors, and other statutory bodies as required. • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, registers, licences, renewals, and other compliance documentation. • Manage the complete lifecycle of contract labour deployment at the plant. • Ensure contractors comply with statutory requirements, including wage, PF, ESI, insurance, attendance, and other applicable obligations. • Handle day-to-day employee grievances and maintain positive employee relations. • Support resolution of disciplinary matters, absenteeism, misconduct, and workplace issues • Manage attendance, leave, shift, overtime, and manpower-related processes. • Coordinate with payroll teams for accurate and timely payroll processing. • Ensure proper employee documentation, joining formalities, separation processes, and HR records. • Drive employee engagement initiatives at the plant. • Coordinate welfare activities, employee communication, celebrations, and engagement programs. Preferred candidate profile • MBA / PG Diploma in Human Resources / Personnel Management / Labour Welfare preferred. • Additional qualification in Labour Laws / Industrial Relations will be an advantage. • 47 years of relevant experience in Plant HR / Manufacturing HR / Industrial Relations. • Experience in managing off-role/contractual manpower hiring and contractor workforce is essential. • Strong exposure to government/statutory labour compliance and plant HR operations is preferred. • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, chemical, or other industrial environment will be an advantage.
