Job Description: AGM Payroll (High-Volume Operations) Location: Mumbai Designation: Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Payroll Role Focus: Service Delivery for 10,000+ Employee Payroll Role Overview We are seeking a high-caliber AGM – Payroll with extensive experience in payroll outsourcing or shared services environments. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for 10,000+ employees, ensuring 100% statutory compliance and delivery excellence. You must possess the "service provider" mindset common in BPO environments, where SLA adherence, Maker-Checker precision, and high-volume data handling are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities • High-Volume Management: Own the payroll process for 10,000+ employees, including gross-to-net calculations, tax adjustments, and variable pay. • Service Delivery: Maintain rigorous SLA standards for query resolution and payroll accuracy, mimicking an outsourced service model. • Statutory Mastery: Ensure full compliance with Indian labor laws (PF, ESI, TDS, LWF, PT, Shops & Establishment Act) and manage all monthly/yearly filings. • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a large team of Payroll Specialists. Implement "Maker-Checker" protocols to guarantee zero-error output. • Stakeholder & Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for internal audits and leadership reporting (MIS). • Tech-Driven Efficiency: Oversee the integration of HRIS with payroll engines, automating manual input processes to handle growth effectively. Required Qualifications • Experience: 12–18 years of experience, with at least 5+ years in a Payroll Outsourcing/BPO company handling large-scale accounts. • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Indian statutory compliance and tax structures. • System Proficiency: Expert in Excel (Advanced) and experience with HRIS/Payroll platforms ( SAP, Oracle, or proprietary payroll tools). • Education: MBA (HR/Finance)
