JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: AGM Utility Electrical Department: Plant Operations & Maintenance (O&M) – Utilities Project Scale: 10 GW Greenfield Cell Manufacturing Plant Location: Unn, Navsari (Gujarat) Employment Type: Full-Time 1. Purpose of the Role To lead the erection, commissioning, and subsequent 24/7 continuous operation and maintenance of all electrical utility systems for a state-of-the-art 10 GW solar cell manufacturing facility. This role ensures 100% power reliability, quality, and safety to support highly sensitive semiconductor and cell manufacturing processes without interruption. 2. Key Responsibilities & Result Areas (KRAs) Project Execution & Commissioning: • Drive the installation, testing, and commissioning of the main receiving substation (132kV/220kV or applicable EHV). • Oversee the setup of HT/LT distribution networks, transformers, GIS/AIS switchgears, and critical power backups. • Ensure smooth handover from the project execution phase to the steady-state operations phase. Operations & Maintenance (O&M): • Lead 24/7 operations of the plant electrical utility systems to ensure zero downtime for critical manufacturing lines (such as PECVD, Diffusion, etc.). • Develop and execute comprehensive Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown maintenance schedules for all electrical assets (Transformers, UPS, BESS, DG sets, MCCs). • Manage power requirements for massive mechanical utilities (UPW plants, HVAC, chillers, compressors, and cooling towers). Power Quality & Energy Management: • Monitor and control power quality, mitigating harmonics, voltage sags, and transients that could impact sensitive manufacturing equipment. • Spearhead energy conservation initiatives, optimize Power Factor (PF), and manage Maximum Demand (MD) to reduce operational expenditures (OPEX). Compliance, Safety & Team Management: • Ensure absolute compliance with CEIG (Chief Electrical Inspector to Government) norms and Indian Electricity Rules. • Implement strict EHS protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PTW (Permit to Work), and Arc Flash safety standards. • Lead, mentor, and roster a team of shift engineers and technicians. • Manage OEM relationships and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) efficiently. 3. Candidate Profile & Requirements Educational Qualifications: • Mandatory: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. • Preferred: Valid Electrical Supervisory License (State/CEIG). Work Experience: • 10 to 15+ years of core experience in electrical utility management. • Must have experience in large-scale, continuous-process greenfield projects (Semiconductor, Solar Cell/Wafer, Heavy Chemicals, or similar high-tech manufacturing). Technical & Behavioral Skills: • Hands-on expertise with EHV/HV substations, SCADA, and Power Management Systems (PMS). • Deep knowledge of cleanroom electrical standards and stringent earthing networks. • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis (RCA) and crisis management. • Excellent leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional communication abilities.
