The Incumbent will be responsible for- Job Purpose- To lead and oversee all contractual, commercial, and enterprise risk management activities across the energy business.The role ensures risk mitigation, contractual compliance, and protection of the organizations financial and legal interests. Role Accountabilities- Contract Management- 1. Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management (pre-bid to closure) 2. Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize: • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) • Supply & service agreements • O&M contracts • Vendor and subcontractor agreements 3. Ensure alignment with business, legal, and regulatory frameworks 4.Standardize contract templates and processes Bid Support & Commercial Structuring- 1. Partner with business development and project teams during bidding stage 2. Identify contractual risks in tenders (domestic & international) 3. Provide inputs on: • Pricing risks • Liquidated damages (LDs) • Performance guarantees • Payment terms 4. Support negotiation strategy with clients and consortium partners Risk Management (Enterprise & Project Level)- 1. Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management framework 2. Identify, assess, and monitor risks across: • Project execution • Supply chain • Regulatory and compliance • Financial exposure 3. Maintain risk registers and mitigation plans 4. Conduct periodic risk reviews with leadership Claims & Dispute Resolution- 1. Manage contract claims, variation orders, and change management 2. Lead dispute resolution processes including: • Arbitration • Mediation • Litigation support (in coordination with legal team) 3. Ensure timely identification and documentation of claims Compliance & Governance- 1. Ensure compliance with: • Regulatory frameworks (energy, EV, infrastructure) • Contractual obligations • Internal governance policies 2. Drive audit readiness and support internal/external audits Stakeholder Management- 1. Interface with: • Clients and government authorities • Legal advisors and consultants • Internal teams (Projects, Finance, Procurement, BD) 2. Act as a key advisor to leadership on contractual and risk matters Process Improvement & Digitization- 1. Implement contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools 2. Drive digitization of contract tracking, risk dashboards, and reporting 3.
