General Manager - B2B Health Insurance

**Role & responsibilities** Operations and underwriting management - Ensure profitable portfolio management through effective risk assessment and pricing governance. - Collaborate closely with underwriting, operations, marketing, IT, and training teams to drive business enablement and growth for the Bancassurance (Banca) channel. - Act as a key liaison between business and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives and alignment with business objectives. - Monitor underwriting quality, loss ratios, and portfolio performance across partners and products. - Approve and review non-standard and large-ticket underwriting cases within authority limits. - Collaborate with sales and product teams for customized partner solutions and competitive offerings. - Drive automation and digitization in underwriting processes to improve TAT and customer experience. - Lead end-to-end operational delivery for partner on boarding, policy issuance, servicing, endorsements, and renewals. - Ensure adherence to defined SLA/TAT commitments for all B2B partners. - Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and process optimization initiatives. - Strengthen governance framework with sales team through regular reviews and MIS. - Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of partner and customer concerns. Partner with Sales, Claims, and Product, Technology, and Finance teams for seamless execution. **Business&Strategy** - Support achievement of business growth targets while maintaining underwriting discipline. - Analyse market trends, competition, and portfolio performance to recommend strategic interventions. Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operations teams **Preferred candidate profile** - Strong understanding of health insurance underwriting and operations. - Expertise in B2B / Bancassurance & Brokers - Portfolio and risk management capabilities. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. - Operational excellence and process transformation mind-set. - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - MBA / PGDM preferred. - Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. **Key Requirements - Experience & Skills (Must have)** - 7 - 10 years of experience in Health Insurance operations and underwriting. - Prior experience managing B2B partnerships, banca, brokers, or institutional channels preferred.
