About you and the role : As a Senior Payroll Specialist , you will enable a best-in-class employee experience through exceptional payroll service delivery and subject matter expertise. You will manage, implement, and deliver innovative payroll solutions while leading payroll operations for multiple countries globally. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with country-specific tax regulations, labor requirements, company policies, and applicable legislation. In this role, you will develop and apply your understanding of key business drivers within Payroll and Human Resources. You will expand your conceptual and practical knowledge of Global Payroll and provide informal guidance to new team members while effectively explaining complex information to stakeholders. You will leverage your technical expertise, established practices, and sound judgment to analyze and resolve routine payroll-related challenges. Your contributions will directly influence the quality of your work and your team's outcomes, requiring you to consistently operate within established policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines. Responsibilities: • Delivering Payroll, Time & Absence, and Data Management in a productive and efficient manner. • Processing information with confidentiality and with a high level of accuracy. • Leading and partnering in strategic improvement projects, change projects. • Ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees and local authorities. • Perform activities according to the Dow internal control & compliance framework and lead coordination for internal and external audits. • Monitoring and management of outside service providers, including managing, owning, and having full accountability for the data to and from the payroll provider. • Serve as an escalation point to address employee queries/cases on payroll related matters. • Delegate and escalate queries as appropriate but remain responsible through completion. Qualifications: • You have a Masters or bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or related area. • You bring a minimum of 5+ years of payroll experience. • Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, Payroll control centre, ADP E-Time, Workforce Now, Globalview, SAP Preferred Skills: • Fluency in English (written & oral) is mandatory. • Understand organizational interdependencies and experience working across functions and cultures. • Experience in high volume operational environments is required. • Experience in internal controls through prior audit participation is preferred. • Experience with Workday is an advantage. • Good problem solving, critical thinking skills and managing competing priorities. • Stakeholder Coordination and Process Ownership • Self-motivated with a customer service mindset.
